All of the guidebooks that we read said that Agra was a slummy city not worth your time outside visiting the Taj Mahal, but after a day there, we fell completely in love with the city and the people. Compared to other cities in India, it was kind of expensive. But at 40 degrees cooler than Delhi, it was a nice break from the intense summer heat.
