Underwater PVC Assembly by 7 year old triplets

This is our third time doing this at the Mountain View Aquatic Center. Used my diving bell and the PVC strusture the goal was to have the kids feel(or simulate) the type of training that NASA astronauts do when preparing for working in space. Obviously the NASA folks would be wearing SCUBA gear, but regardless, the boys enjoyed constructing this underwater.

Hovercraft

This was quite easy to build. Chris used the Jigsaw to cut the 36" diameter circle. I'd like to get a model that allows diverting air for thrust and maybe use a gas powered version. Next time, I'll make the board 4 feet in diameter for more stability.

Buckley's Cought Syrup

My friend Andrea Moore suggested Buckley's cought syrup for a head cold and congestion this morning. She had a bottle from Canada and offered it to me.
At first, I was going to try and take it without something to wash it down. But, after the heat got me, I had to get something.
I must admit that in the last 60 minutes(since taking it) I have felt remarkably better!

Where do old trees go?

One afternoon me and the boys were coming home and saw this tree getting cut down. We had to stay and talk about what happens to the tree once taken down. "How it's made" is a good program for discussing the cycle of metal, wood or plastic into other products.
